The Lalu app gives users access to information about the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and baby care, and lets them share experiences with one another. These Terms of Use govern your use of the Lalu mobile app and form a binding agreement between you and the Administration.
1. Definitions
1.1. Mobile app – the set of software solutions giving the User access to the content, available at: Google Play – play.google.com, App Store – apps.apple.com.
1.2. User – any natural person who installs the app on their mobile device and begins using it.
1.3. Content – any text, graphic, photo, video or audiovisual material created, translated and published by the Administration through the app.
1.4. Personal page – the section of the app in which the User can store, change and delete their personal data.
1.5. Paid subscription – a service giving the User access to the app’s premium features and special content for a defined period (1 month, 6 months or 1 year).
1.6. In-app purchase – the purchase of a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. For such purchases, billing, renewal and cancellation are carried out by the relevant store under its own rules.
1.7. Administration – «Bee Alley» LLC, the operator of the app (details in section 12).
2. Acceptance
2.1. This public offer is accepted by downloading the app. The agreement is considered concluded from the moment of acceptance.
2.2. If you do not agree with these terms, you must stop using the app.
2.3. The Service is intended for adults (18 years and older). People under 18 may use it with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Subject of the agreement
3.1. The Administration provides the User with content and services relating to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and baby care.
3.2. In all matters not expressly covered by this agreement, the parties are governed by the applicable legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and ordinary business practice.
3.3. This agreement is an open and public document. Its current version is published at lalufamily.com/terms. The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.
4. Rights and obligations of the parties
4.1. The User has the right to:
- Use the services offered in the app, and stop using them at any time;
- Send suggestions, complaints and requests to the Administration through the support centre;
- Express public positive or critical opinions about the app;
- Access their data, correct it, and request deletion of their account.
4.2. The Administration has the right to:
- Modify, update and extend the app’s software in order to improve it;
- Warn, temporarily suspend or permanently block a User who breaches these terms;
- Remove or hide content that breaches the community rules.
4.3. The Administration undertakes to:
- Be responsible for the reliability of content it publishes itself. It is not responsible for material posted by Users or partner sources;
- Examine written copyright complaints received through the support centre and remove infringing material where an infringement is established;
- Protect the User’s personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
4.4. The User undertakes to:
- Comply fully with these terms;
- Understand that the content is not medical advice and does not replace examination by a doctor, and consult a family doctor or gynaecologist if any problem arises;
- Not take actions that damage the app’s software;
- Use the services without breaking applicable law;
- Not infringe the honour, dignity or other lawful rights of others;
- Keep their sign-in credentials private;
- Use medical content for information only, and not attempt self-diagnosis or self-treatment.
5. Community rules
5.1. In the Community section Users may ask questions, write answers and post images. The User who posts content is responsible for it.
5.2. The following are prohibited: insults, threats and discrimination; erotic or violent material; advertising and spam; publishing another person’s personal data without their consent; giving unfounded medical instructions or promoting medicines; and any material that breaks the law.
5.3. Where the rules are breached, the Administration may remove the content and temporarily or permanently block the User. In cases of repeated or serious breaches — including creating a new account to evade a restriction — the restriction may also be applied to other accounts linked to the same device.
5.4. Content you post is visible to other Users. Inappropriate content can be reported using the “Report” button in the app.
6. Liability
6.1. The parties are liable for failure to perform, or improper performance of, this agreement in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
6.2. The User is liable for any loss arising from their own failure to perform their obligations.
6.3. The User is responsible for the safety of data entered over unprotected connections or on a device exposed to malicious software. The Administration is not liable for interruptions in the User’s internet connection or for device faults.
6.4. The Administration is not liable for loss caused by the User’s failure to read these terms in good time.
6.5. The parties are released from liability where performance is prevented by force majeure.
6.6. A User who seriously and repeatedly breaches these terms will have their profile blocked without restoration.
6.7. If the User’s material is removed or lost for any reason, the Administration is not responsible for restoring it.
7. Paid subscription (App Store and Google Play)
7.1. Prices and plans (1 month, 6 months, 1 year) are shown in the app’s subscription section and in the relevant store. The Administration may change prices; the price of an active subscription remains unchanged until the end of its paid period.
7.2. Subscriptions are purchased through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, and billing is carried out by that store under its own rules. The Administration does not receive or store your card details.
7.3. Subscriptions renew automatically. The store will charge the renewal unless the subscription is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
7.4. A store subscription cannot be cancelled from inside the app. It is managed and cancelled only in your store account:
- App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Lalu → Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lalu → Cancel subscription.
7.5. After cancelling, you keep access to premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
7.6. A free trial may be offered to new users. If the subscription is not cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the store will charge the first payment for the selected plan automatically.
7.7. Deleting the app or your Lalu account does not cancel a store subscription. You must cancel it separately in your store account.
8. Refunds
8.1. Because payment for a subscription is taken by Apple or Google, the Administration cannot issue a refund directly. Refund requests are handled by the relevant store under its own policy:
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: Google Play help centre
8.2. The Administration will gladly assist you with advice and any information needed for such a request, but the decision rests with the store.
9. Gift subscriptions and points
9.1. A subscription may be arranged as a gift for another User. In that case the person who pays is the payer and the person who uses the subscription is the recipient. Gift subscriptions do not renew automatically.
9.2. Points earned through activity in the app may be exchanged for access to premium features. Points are not money, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred to another person. The Administration may change the rules for earning and spending points.
10. Termination and account deletion
10.1. The User may stop using the app at any time.
10.2. Removing the app from your device does not cancel an active subscription and does not delete the data in your account. Cancel the subscription first, as described in section 7.4.
10.3. The procedure for deleting your account and associated data is set out on the Delete account page. Requests are reviewed manually and completed within 30 days.
11. Disputes
11.1. Any dispute arising from this agreement is first considered amicably, on the basis of the User’s written complaint.
11.2. If the dispute is not resolved through the complaints procedure, it is referred to the competent court at the defendant’s location, in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
