Partner mode· during pregnancy

Let him follow along.
You stay in control.

Partner mode lets him follow your pregnancy on his own phone, in the same Lalu app: the week you’re in, your due date and your visits. Anything more stays closed until you choose to open it.

What he sees

A calm screen that follows your pregnancy

On his phone, Lalu opens in Partner mode. It shows where you are, what’s coming up and the parts you’ve chosen to share — nothing else.

His Home screen

Where you are, and what’s coming up.

All of this works in every language the app speaks.

  • Your week and due dateThe week and day you’re in, and your due date.
  • Your visitsEach visit’s name, date, time and place — never results or notes. The next one sits on his Home screen: he can tap I will come along, a note only he sees, or add it to his calendar.
  • Only the tools you openNames, hospital bag, ultrasound images or the kick summary appear once you switch them on. Closed ones don’t show at all.
  • Message herA few words for you, one way. They appear on your main screen; you can mute them, and he isn’t told.
Weekly guidance

Something useful to do, every week.

From week 4, each week comes with three short, practical actions for him and a plain read on what’s happening.

  • The week’s actionsEveryday things he can take on that week. He marks each one done as he goes.
  • The first one is always openThe other two open while you have Premium.
  • What is happening this week? For the baby and for you, with the baby’s size. General texts — never your own entries.
Currently in UzbekWeekly guidance is currently available in Uzbek only. Your sharing controls, visits and the tools you open work in every app language.
Your controls

You stay in control.

He sees your week, due date and visits. Everything else is off until you switch it on — and you can pause or remove the connection at any time.

Always shared

While sharing is on

  • Pregnancy week and dayWhere you are now — for example, week 22, day 2
  • Due dateYour estimated due date
  • Your visitsVisit name, date, time and place, upcoming and past — never results or notes
He sees each visit’s name as you wrote it. To hide all of this, pause sharing.

You choose

Off until you switch it on

  • Name listNames you’ve saved. He can suggest names. If you dismiss one, he isn’t told.
    Off
  • Hospital bagOnly the items you assign to him. He ticks them off when he has them.
    Off
  • Ultrasound imagesThe scans you add to your album. Needs Memories backup on.
    Off
  • KicksA daily summary of sessions and kicks — not your individual entries, and no alerts.
    Off
Sections you haven’t opened don’t appear on his screen at all — not even as a lock. Change them any time in Profile › Partner mode.

Never shared

No setting opens these

  • Test and visit results
  • Weight and measurements
  • Your diary notes
  • Symptoms and mood you log
  • Your community questions and answers

You approve every connection

His code only sends a request. He’s connected once you approve — if you decline, his app just says it wasn’t approved.

Pause or remove, quietly

He isn’t notified. Paused and removed look the same to him, and only you can turn sharing back on.

One partner at a time

One person can follow your pregnancy, and he can follow only one.

He can’t change your data

He can’t edit your entries or open sections himself. He can only suggest names and tick the bag items you gave him.

How it works

A code from you, a request from him

You send a code, he enters it, and you approve. Each code works once, for 48 hours.

FAQ

Questions before you share

No. He installs the same Lalu app you use and joins in Partner mode with your code. There’s no separate app to look for.
Yes. Partner mode is free for him, and there’s no paid plan for him to buy. In the weekly guidance (currently in Uzbek), the first action each week is open to him and the others open while you have Premium.
Always: your pregnancy week and day, your due date, and your visits — each visit’s name, date, time and place, never results or notes. Only if you switch them on: the names you’ve saved, the hospital-bag items you assign to him, the ultrasound images in your album (with Memories backup on) and a daily kick summary. Sections you haven’t opened don’t appear on his screen.
Yes, any time, in Profile › Partner mode. “Pause sharing” hides everything from him and keeps the connection, so you can resume later. “Remove the connection” ends it and removes your data from his app; connecting again needs a new code. He isn’t notified either way, and on his side the two look the same.
No. Test and visit results, weight and measurements, your diary notes, the symptoms and mood you log, and your community questions and answers are never shared. Your visits reach him as a name, date, time and place only — never results or notes.
Each code works for 48 hours and for one person. If it has expired or was already used, create a new one in Profile › Partner mode and send it again. Once he enters a code, his request waits up to 72 hours for you to approve it.
Partner mode works in every language the Lalu app offers. His weekly guidance — the week’s actions and the “this week” texts — is currently available in Uzbek only. If his app is set to another language, that part appears in Uzbek or is replaced by a short note.
No — one person at a time. It can be your husband, a companion, a family member or a friend; everyone starts with the same settings. He, in turn, can follow only one pregnancy at a time.
His app shows a neutral “Tracking has ended” message and stops showing your week, dates and reminders. It never says why.

Let him follow along — on your terms.

Download Lalu, open Profile › Partner mode and send him your code. You can pause sharing any time.
